Questions
Frequently asked questions
Who can join?
Any business located on or near Fillmore Street. Not sure whether you qualify? Ask us.
How are dues billed and renewed?
Annually, paid online by card or by check.
What do I get for my money?
See the benefits above. The Merchant FAQ has the details on events, listings and meetings.
Are dues tax-deductible?
The association is a business league, exempt under section 501(c)(6), not a charity, so dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution. Many businesses can deduct dues as an ordinary business expense. Check with your accountant. Gifts to the separate Fillmore Jazz Festival Preservation Fund, a 501(c)(3), are a different matter.
