Flying Figs is a small, candlelit wine bar at 1870 Fillmore, at Bush, in the space that was Vic’s Winehouse. It reopened under its new name in 2026.
The room
It feels more like a living room than a bar. There are velvet booths, gold damask and emerald velvet seating, couches and easy chairs arranged for conversation, and low light from candles. The room is quiet, which is the point. Groups can reserve a seating area, and the whole room can be booked for a private event.
Wine and bites
The wine list is short and chosen with care, and the bottles line the wall. The kitchen sends out charcuterie boards, cheeses, olives and small snacks, plus a house dessert such as chocolate cake or a Basque-style cheesecake. It is a wine bar, not a full restaurant.

Who runs it
Neda Emami runs day-to-day operations, with business partners Saleh and Salar Golrang, according to The New Fillmore. They took down the metal security gates, refreshed the interior and committed to steady hours. Hours above are from the bar’s own website; the press has reported slightly different times, so check before you go.
